"Umm.. srsly dude.. are you high? You cant just go to other country and destroy stuff there. Especially if it is9 999 999 999$ expensive stuff."

So, if you do nothing the world ends. If you destroy the LHC, in 100 years or whatever, science proves that the LHC would have destroyed the planet and you are a hero. Which option do you prefer?

And don't give me any of that impossible crap. When the fate of the world is at stake, and you truly believe that, you find a way.

>When the fate of the world is at stake, and you truly believe that, you find a way.

You are high... or stupid.. or both.

>I think anyone weighing the importance of keeping their job and destroying the planet would choose to lose their job.

Its not like that. Keeping the job makes them lower the chances of a catastrophe. If they said that there was 1% chance of anything dangerous for the planet the project would be canceled for sure for example, so they say its 1:1000000000000 chance or whatever...

Someone else tried to answer my previous comment with a pm yesterday , but it wasn't good enough. He wont reply either, so i am still clueless about why they do this.

Also, i saw the facility on the news yesterday about the testing being succesfull. Though, the report was short. As if they werent aware of, or didnt want to tell about these risks.

They tested all their equipment, without any particle collisions. Thet is not dangerous. Parrticle collisions are not dangerous either, untill they cross a certain energy threshold. So we are safe till they go above 2TeV

I like it, deleting my comment about the true nature of this post :)

For other readers, notice how he hooks people in with an apocalyptic message, only to advertise his games first.

Incidentally, I'm willing to bet that in our solar-system alone we have at least 1 collision between particles at WAY over 2Tev at least every minute... Why aren't there any black holes around us after millions of years of this?

"Micro black holes produced by the LHC particle collisions may have a very low velocity and so, unlike any created by natural cosmic ray collisions, they will not escape the Earth's gravitational pull."

The point is natural cosmic ray collisions and those in the LHC are not the same thing.

LHC can't create such black holes, but this is incredibly good for the media.

Please answer this question...
-Why should mankind be able to create a black holes that will suck up earth, and in those 4.5billion years earth existed a black hole was never created. There are much larger forces when particles from the sun collide with the atmosphere.

Other than that I liked the webcam^^, and your game momentum missile 3 is plain awesome! Make a game with black holes, I'm sure you're able to do so.

And one more question...If you think you're gonna die in less than a year, why make flash games anyway?^^

Just don't worry. If this were possible like that it would aready have happend. (see above)

Please use your time for making awesome games than wasting it for posts like this.

Thanks :)

>LHC can't create such black holes

CERN scientists say that it can and probably will. The question is whether those black holes will be stable.

>There are much larger forces when particles from the sun collide with the atmosphere.

"Micro black holes produced by the LHC particle collisions may have a very low velocity and so, unlike any created by natural cosmic ray collisions, they will not escape the Earth's gravitational pull."

The point is natural cosmic ray collisions and those in the LHC are not the same thing.

>If you think you're gonna die in less than a year, why make flash games anyway?^^

because its fun

Well I must say you have done your research and you at least have some scientific backing to your theories. Also, whoever is complaining about your spelling, should die, because: A. you are Russian (which is AWESOME), and B. your grammar and word usage clearly shows that you are intelligent, more so than the people complaining about your spelling. Now heres where I disagree with you. Do you honestly beleive that humans could make something like a blackhole? Even with the skeptical evidence the chances are nonexistant, and Hawking Radiation almost definitly exists. They have already tested the LHC and as far as im concerned, im not dead yet. These people are scientists, and nobody else but them is qualified to say if it will kill us or not. They said it wont, so Im going to trust these people because for their entire lives they have studied this and there are multiple, so the margin for error is next to zero. You can spend your time worrying about this, but I think that there are much more worrysome topics out there and the infantismal possibility of a black hole killing us all is a non issue. Nobody is going to die from this. Its just that simple.

>Do you honestly beleive that humans could make something like a blackhole?

Why not? We have nukes.
Blackhole is such a big word... do you realise that mBH is just 2 elemental particles moved too close to each other. The question is whether it will be stable or not.

> and Hawking Radiation almost definitly exists.

why? because a lot of people sa so?

> They have already tested the LHC and as far as im concerned

how many times should I comment on this? testing lhc is not dangerous, particle collisions below 2TeV aren't either

going above 2TeV is what had never been done before, thats what dangerous
they will go therebefore the end of the year

> These people are scientists, and nobody else but them is qualified to say if it will kill us or not.

Those who say its dangerous are scientists too. Being in the majority does not always make you right.

Besides huge ammount of money involved makes this project unstopable. You do not just spend 9999999999$ and cancel the project.

You misunderstand me, with the sheer number of high energy particles whizzing about in space, odds are that there must be *some* head-on collisions between particles at way over 14TeV. Surely in the last few millions years we have had more than a few of these very close to Earth, yet we are still here.
There is no reason to think that we will be doing anything that hasn't naturally occurred already.

There is no way that mBH could naturally spawn on earth with zero velocity in relation to the planed. Its the same thing as to assume that Great Pyramid of Giza could be formed by forces of nature, wind and erosion... Or that uranium ore would naturally refine, reach critical mass and detonate.

well, the machine is not going to kill us, it has been on for a while now and im still not dead.

banned for not reading the thread and being an idiot

Hey,we are NOT going to die; They confirmed that a black hole could be created if these 3 events happen in the following order:
1.A micro black hole lasts longer than 10 seconds
2.It moves to the center of the Earth
3.It fuses with Earths core
Anyway,this couldn't happen because:
1.The experiment is done in a vacuum
2.the minor black hole would be obliterated by the photons

lol

Well I must say you share some very convincing arguments, but if you are going to make claims like this, im going to pose a question just as mysterious. Has anyone ever entered a black hole? Even if the LHC DOES make a black hole, that doesnt gaurentee our death, for we have no idea where black holes go. Also if you are going to say that Hawking Radiation is a myth and people just SAY that it exists, you also can throw out other scientific theories just because alot of people SAY they exist too. Black holes when it comes down to it, are just theories, and creating one might not kill us because its all just theory.

In other words, the only way to provide evidence on the LHC creating black holes is to conveniently ignore certain crucial scientific theories.
On a more pesimistic veiw: It would be a quick and painless death anyway, and to the organized mind, death is just the next great adventure.
ON a realistic veiw: This isnt going to happen. Black holes exitst, but this VERY expensive machine (prehaps too much was spent on it, yes) will not make a black hole, and even if it does, it will dissappear. This is fact.

Lastly, just some clarifitcation. So you beleive that these people have either A. created some diabolical plan to destroy the world with a black hole generator (which would be a prity sick-awesome idea ;p ) or B. they spent ALOT of money on it and now realize that it will kill us all but still want to go through with it. Either way, I HIGHLY doubt it.

>> Has anyone ever entered a black hole? Even if the LHC DOES make a black hole, that doesnt gaurentee our death, for we have no idea where black holes go

so... whats your plan for survival while all matter on the planet is accelerated to sub-light velocity before falling through event horizon. Black hole is not a door.

>> if you are going to say that Hawking Radiation is a myth and people just SAY that it exists

CERN scientists say that mBH is not dangerous due to that theory, as if it was a fact. Since hawkins radiation is NOT A FACT this fails to be a valid argument for lhc safety.

>> It would be a quick and painless death anyway, and to the organized mind, death is just the next great adventure.

What? Wasn't you going to survive it?

>> will not make a black hole, and even if it does, it will dissappear. This is fact.

Who are you to say what is a fact and what isn't?

>> So you beleive that these people have either

neither
they are the same kind of people who created nukes. The chance that this invention would end our civilisation within this century is still high.

Besides, why are we talking only about black holes. It is after all only one of the many catastrophyc scenarios.

haha i kno a friend that has his birthday on the first day of the lhc operaton. that would be funny if u died on your birthday. very ironic.

anyway.. pretty serious stuff here, now i guess i cant play mmm games for the next year.

Fuck u LHC u ruined my free time on the computer!

We're not goin to die because of this experiment. it is perfectly safe to do it, even the "A black hole will suck us kill us and kick our asses" theory is false. there IS a possibility that black holes are created, and black holes have already been created by this experiment, the only thing that happens is the black hole starts to spit particles like crazy and then disappears. AND also, nobody knows what a black hole really does, as no one has ever been close enough to study one, and black holes don't suck like a vacuum cleaner, it's just that they have enough gravity to stop time! and they don't grow, so if you stay far enough from it, you won't die. and you can perfectly make an orbit around the black hole without being sucked!

PS: I'm sticki's sister, so don't think he's contradicting himself... we even had a huuge fight about this hehe

>>We're not goin to die because of this experiment.

said some 13 years old kid who doesn't know what he/she is talking about...

>>and black holes have already been created by this experiment

not true

>>AND also, nobody knows what a black hole really does, as no one has ever been close enough to study one

That totally contradicts your statement about the safety of experiment.

>>and black holes don't suck like a vacuum cleaner,

How do they suck?

>>it's just that they have enough gravity to stop time!

That depends on the point of observation... its a lot more complicated than that. And this has nothing to do with the topic

>>and they don't grow, so if you stay far enough from it, you won't die.

micro blackholes might, no one knows

>>We're not goin to die because of this experiment.
>said some 13 years old kid who doesn't know what he/she is talking about...

That girl is older than 13 in the first place, and she has some sources from which she can be almost sure we're not going to die because a 23 year old kid says so.

>>and black holes have already been created by this experiment
>not true

They have!

>>AND also, nobody knows what a black hole really does, as no one has ever been close enough to study one
>That totally contradicts your statement about the safety of experiment.

I'm just making it clear that we can't be making this kind of theories, and that i'ts more possible that we don't die...

>>and black holes don't suck like a vacuum cleaner,
>How do they suck?

The whole point is they don't!
>>it's just that they have enough gravity to stop time!
>That depends on the point of observation... its a lot more complicated than that. And this has nothing to do with the topic

It has everything to do with this topic! you're saying u're afraid of black holes 'cause they'll suck the world an we're going to die, I'm just explaining what black holes really are, and that is, a really heavy point of mass, like I said before, you can orbit around a black hole if you're far enough from it, just like we are orbiting the sun and the moon is orbiting around the earth.

>>and they don't grow, so if you stay far enough from it, you won't die.
>micro blackholes might, no one knows

Does the earth grow when you stand on it?

>>23 year old kid says so.

Too lazy to make an account? How much time would it take to make one? Like 3 or 5 minutes?

>>and she has some sources from which she can be almost sure we're not going to die

I've listed my sources (see links at the end of my post). Have you even checked those?
I'd like to see those sourses of yours. I hope its is not CERNs official report on the LHC safety.

>>They have!

linx plz

>>and that i'ts more possible that we don't die...

why?

>>The whole point is they don't!

what? black hole accelerates mass towards it, the same way any object that has mass does. Earth, sun, moon and black holes. Stuff caught in black holes' gravity field falls towards it and disappears behind the event horizon, I'd call that sucking.

>>I'm just explaining what black holes really are

I'm not sure whether you get it yourself.

Lol, gonna quote wikipedia :D I'm too lazy to search for more concrete sources, since you provided NONE, wiki would do.

"Once a black hole has formed, it can continue to grow by absorbing additional matter. Any black hole will continually absorb interstellar dust from its direct surroundings and omnipresent cosmic background radiation, but neither of these processes should significantly affect the mass of a stellar black hole. More significant contributions can occur when the black hole formed in a binary star system. After formation the black hole can then leech significant amounts of matter from its companion.

Much larger contributions can be obtained when a black hole merges with other stars or compact objects. The supermassive black holes suspected in the center of most galaxies are expected to have formed from the coagulation of many smaller objects. The process has also been proposed as the origin of some intermediate-mass black holes."

Where did you get your idea that black holes don't grow? CERN scientists never questioned that. They say that mBH if formed will not have time to get in contact with any other particles since it would instantly evaporate via Hawkins radiation. The point is that Hawkins radiation is just a theory, it has not been proven theoretically. That is all, nothing else. We do not really need to discuss whether black holes grow or not.

Btw, micro blackhole is only one of the catastrophic scenarios, what about strangelets?

PS: I've got one more reason to think the world's not gonna end.

>>>> THIS VERY SAME THING HAPENS EVERY SINGLE DAY IN OUR VERY SAME ATMOSPHERE AND AT AN EVEN HIGHER SPEED! . and... are we dead?? nooooo!
the only whole I know of in the atmosphere is the one in the ozone cape, and we're not goin to die because of it.

NOT AGAIN

YOU HAVEN'T EVEN READ MY POST HAVE YOU?
THIS IS FROM CERNs OFFICIAL REPORT, AND I'VE COMMENTED ON IT IN MY POST, WHY THIS IS NOT THE SAME AS WE WOULD HAVE IN LHC.

YET YOU PEOPLE KEEP POSTING THIS SHIT AGAIN AND AGAIN. I'VE ALREADY REPLIED TO THIS LIKE TEN TIMES OR SOMETHING.

WHY ARE YOU WASTING MY TIME IF YOU HAVEN'T EVEN READ MY POST!?

If i'm really wasting your time, why do you keep answering me?
ok, so i'm sorry i wasted your time, it's great you're defending your theory, but there is no reason for you to be in that total hostility plan, and maybe you should open your mind a bit, be more optimistic and accept what other people tell you... as you can never be completely sure of the truth.
bye!!

> why do you keep answering me?

I answered your big post because I thought you've read the thread.

> be more optimistic

Being optimistic when speaking of humanity is not a very good idea. The only thing people have been doing for the past 10000 years is killing each other and researching more efficient methods of killing.

> it's great you're defending your theory

This is not my theory. I'm just bringing you the thoughts of people who are competent enough in the subject to have one.

Majority is not always right.

>you can never be completely sure of the truth.

Thats why fucking with the safety of the planet should never be an option while there are still so many questions left unanswered.
However when dealing with humanity, money is always the deciding factor. There is no going back after spending 9999999999$

i have heard so many danm end of the world bull i just say let it happen all ready like cmon man i have heard we are spose to die at these dates
1.06//06/06
2.2000
3.2006
4.yours 2009
5. and lastly 2012
it hasnt happened on the first 3 why start now

We are not talking about prophesies, magic numbers and shit like th
at here.

right... so you cant answer any comment in a friendly way? can't you accept what other people think?
Just to make it clear, i did read your post, and i also read some of the comments you answered, and if one thing is clear for me, is that your knowledge in physics is really poor, as you don't even understand the concept of a black hole.
The only danger in the experiment i see, is that it sucks up too many electricity, and that's not precisely good for global warming. but apart from that, you could walk inside the machine and nothing would happen to you, as long as you're not a charged object.
Do you even know what they are looking for? They're not doing this to see what happens, they want to FIND a particle that they've been looking for a long time!
I think you're one of those people who said the world would end on 2000 and on 2006 because of the Antichrist and that kind of bullshit... you just want to scare everyone!
For me, if the world ends, good for you, you got what you wanted, but i wont stop working for my future or even get depressed because lot's of people say I'm gonna die because of a fucking experiment. You said it, majorities are not always right and i'm not gonna let them convince me when all the evidence points the other way, and you just blind yourself so you don't see what's really going on.
Good luck and good night!

>so you cant answer any comment in a friendly way?

not in this thread, if I wanted to be friendly I wouldn't post it at all

>Just to make it clear, i did read your post, and i also read some of the comments you answered

why did you post that "cosmic rays do the same thing as particles in lhc"-thing like if it was something new to this thread?

>your knowledge in physics is really poor

No specifics again? Not going to point me where I'm wrong and why? Ok. I'l do the same.

YOUR KNOWLEDGE IN PHYSICS IS REALLY POOR. YOU DON'T KNOW WHAT YOU ARE TALKING ABOUT. BLACK HOLES DON'T GROW MY ASS :D

Yet again, this thread is not about my knowledge in physics. It is not about MY theories on LHC. I simply bring you up concerns of scientists who think that lhc safety is far from being a fact, they do know physics better than me or you.

>Do you even know what they are looking for?

I do. They wont find it. Does it matter anyway?

>you just want to scare everyone!

mayby
why not?

>For me, if the world ends, good for you, you got what you wanted, but i wont stop working for my future or even get depressed because lot's of people say I'm gonna die because of a fucking experiment.

getting a lil defensive here? not so sure you that are right anymore?

>when all the evidence points the other way

what evidence? Is CERNs official lhc safety report your evidence? I hope not

>you just blind yourself so you don't see what's really going on.

I don't blind myself. I'm open for any kind of ideas, not only the official one, especially when such great sums of money are involved.

Oh shit! That is scary. What has science done!?Also it could just open up a portal to furry land. Then we would die from furry rape. Also You need to add the gravity launcher thingy back into MMM3 the one from the other two games.

SHIT SHIT SHIT! OAH OAH OAH OAH OAH.Yeah that old The King is no match for The Gannon.

yay to furry rape!

Crap...now i have to accomplish everything i ever wanted to do in a year...

I said that to remind you what you had already said.

And maybe you should start knowing the difference on being defensive and being desperate.... its incredible how you keep defending this theory when it's not even yours and everyone can tell you anything to make you see what's going on and you don't open your eyes.

Sounds to me you've just listened to the CERN scientists... maybe you should listen to other peoples opinions.

>its incredible how you keep defending this theory when it's not even yours and everyone

keeps me entertained

>and everyone can tell you anything to make you see what's going on and you don't open your eyes.

lolwut

>Sounds to me you've just listened to the CERN scientists... maybe you should listen to other peoples opinions.

lolwut? The whole idea of my post is that they are wrong.
you are losing it...
